چکیده

The IPv6 Routing Protocol for Low Power and Lossy networks (RPL) is a routing protocol standardized by the Internet Engineering Task Force. According to specification of protocol, Trickle algorithm adopted dissemination route construction information among nodes in such networks. Since originally designed code propagation maintenance Wireless Sensor Networks, when using formation network there exist some problems, as convergence time, fairness issue nodes, amount power consumption. Therefore, paper proposes an improved algorithm, namely FI-Trickle, taking new approach simultaneously reduce unfairness consumption improve packet delivery ratio network. performance FI-Trickle verified via simulation with extensive experiments over various sizes, interference conditions, topologies. For comparison purposes, are applied not only but also variants Trickle, Trickle-F, I-Trickle, Drizzle. results show that can use less achieve similar level compared Trickle-F. Also, terms ratio, size grows, increasingly outperform Drizzle, I-Trickle up 1%, 3%, 4%, respectively. This end result implies be better candidate RPL message large-scale

RPL: IPv6 Routing Protocol for Low Power and Lossy Networks

Today, Low Power and Lossy Networks (LLNs) represent one of the most interesting research areas. They include Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPANs), low-power Power Line Communication (PLC) networks and Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). Such networks are often optimized to save energy, support tra c patterns di↵erent from the standard unicast communication, run routing protocols over link laye...

Objective Function Zero for the Routing Protocol for Low-Power and Lossy Networks (RPL)

The Routing Protocol for Low-Power and Lossy Networks (RPL) specification defines a generic Distance Vector protocol that is adapted to a variety of network types by the application of specific Objective Functions (OFs). An OF states the outcome of the process used by a RPL node to select and optimize routes within a RPL Instance based on the Information Objects available; an OF is not an algor...
